American teenager is sleepy...and remembering.

Date: 6/11/10
Time: 9:19 pm
Mood: EXHAUSTED
Current style: Theme park
Current Food-Obsession: Cotton Candy
Song of the Day: Solo, I-Yaz
Today we went to a theme park for the end of school... and IT WAS soooo TIRING!
But... I'm really here to chronicle one of THE best nights of my life. I got a call from one of my classies, and she got tickets to a huge concert that has been sold out for months, and it was on a school night, my mom would never let me go except for the fact we had BACKSTAGE PASSES!!!!!! So i went with her and another classy to a local hotel where we met _____'s manager!! he gave us the passes and when we were leaving, we got a flat tire... :( But we made it there eventually, and it was soo cool! ____was so nice and we got pictures with him and a bunch of other stars. we ended up staying way late, like 11 o clock, but it was well worth it :)
Love,
The American Teenager.

The American Teenager detests New York state regences.

Date: 6/4/10
Time: 8:49 pm
Mood: dulled
Current style: Whatever i put on after swimming
Current Food-Obsession: Crepes.
Song of the Day: Speechless by Lady Gaga
Today was fun fun fun. I went swimming with a few of my classies after walking home from school. We also started shooting for our new music video for Lady Gaga's "Telephone." Then I went home and played scrabble. Then i ate, and went to the grocery store. Now I'm watching the National Spelling bee. We took a regents review math quiz today, and my teacher said we did TERRIBLE. People got like, 20 out of 40. Luckily, the American teenager got a 36 out of 40. (hehehe, sucka's!!!) This leads me into my regentses. Regents's regentsi regentsae? Ok, my math regents and my Earth Science regents. Here's the deal, I HAVE TO DO WELL. Like, getting below 90's on either isn't an option. We got regents review books, and this stuff is difficult. MEHHH. But it IS a friday and i'm most certainly not here to mope, so i'm going to go hang out and.... well anyway Please Please Please wish me luck, y'all.

Time: 6:35 pm
Mood: DUUUUURRRRRR....
Style: Posivtively chic (and glowing)
Food: Chocolate chip cookies
Song: Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys

Hello, all!
Today, i actually did pretty decent on a math test! 94% too bad thats the average :s
But i am actually quite happy.
Anyway, my plans got cancelled, but as Pa and Ma from The little house books say, there is no great loss without some gain. I have new plans with my co-assistant, were choreographering the rest of the dances. i don't really know why my plans got cancelled, Classy #1 said she had plans and Number 2 said that they were working on their project together. :( Meanie.
Well, i think this super annoying guy likes me... and 3 other girls :( hahahah. but i certainly don't like him. Poor kid, can't make up his mind.
I'm going to go pajama it up and see whats left on T-VO. Nighty night night.

The American Teenager doesn't like labs. Or tsunami's.

Date: 11/29/09
Time: 1:02 pm
Mood:Frazzled/ relieved
Current style: Mall
Current Food-Obsession: Pork Lo Mien
Song of the day: Fireflies

Ugh. I hate hate HATE labs. My earth science teacher assigned us a lab over thanksgiving break. WHO DOES THAT???
It's a lab about the 2004 Sumatra Tsunami. One of the ?s is how many casualties were there. Well, first off, they'll never know, and second, WHO WANTS TO ADD DEATHS?
The Pre-mentioned teacher assigned us a test on Wednesday. SO DID MY MATH TEACHER. AND MY SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER. Jeez.
But off my rant. Happy Thanksgivin! I stayed at home, with my family, cousins and g'parents. Non-eventful. No black friday shopping, i was NOT in the mood. mostly just hanging out. I'm super excited for sixth grade play rehearsal bc we're prob teaching our special dance. AND GUESS WHAT? WE GET 2 MORE! thats just as many as the main choreographers. i think the director wants us to be like, co-co-co-co choreographers. hahhahahahahahaah. well, i have to go figure out this sumatra lab with all the kids in my class on facebook.

The Week Of 11/21/09

Date: 11/21/09
Time: 6:09 pm
Mood: Peaceful
Current Style: Lazy
Current Food-Obsession: French Vanilla ice cream and caramel
Song of the Day: Down by Jay Sean

What should be the most up and out day of a teenagers life, Saturdays are usually pretty calm for me. Maybe I'll go shopping or have an occasional bat mitzvah, i like to celebrate the end of a week every Friday. Last night was spent choreographing my special dance with one of my best friends. You see, i am a thespian and preform in my school's musical every year. This year, i offered to help the director with the sixth grade show. I am co-assistant with the pre mentioned bff, and the co-choreographers (two ninth graders who i am also friends with) let us make up one dance, a duet. So that might be a typical Friday for me, but my favorite Fridays are a little different (and less painful!)
When you are in the 99th percentile in ways of income in the wold, you find yourself in classy towns full of popular girls who love nothing more than to make a scene. I settle with a different crowd. I like to call us the "classies." We are semi-popular and often have friends ranging from the nerds, to the weirdos to the populars to the jocks. Most of us are well brought up, but very thankfull and polite. Once a month, i go out with two of my fellow classies on a friday night. We go to the Plaza (the plaza has a movie theatre, a few nice restaurants and a few crap restaurants, shopping and ice cream) and enjoy ourselves. We've gone to Japanese and Italian, and to movies and ice cream, but our next date (Dec 4) will be our casual date, holiday shopping at Barnes and Noble and dinner and desert at Applebee's, in sweats and uggs.
Living such fabulous Fridays put a damper on a girl's Saturday, so i find myself at home with a movie, (27 dresses, My fave!) my french vanilla, and a guilty conscience due to my not so great math grade. (hey, when you are taking a ninth grade honers class with a regents and the end, and your only in eighth grade, things are difficult!) So vale for now (my latin teacher told me to study!) and please comment, i'll be on all night, i'm dead bored.
Love,
The American Teenager

Intro

Lets face it, being a teenager may seem easy, but if you've seen what is expected of us, it's anything but. You may think "Oh it can't be that difficult" but in my hometown (which shall remain nameless) a lot is expected of us. So lets take a look at how a normal teenager lives, works and socializes, and maybe i can change your prospective on growing up today.
